Our Story

violet-frost began in 2019 when our founder, a lifelong dog owner and certified groomer, noticed something troubling: many pets became visibly stressed when taken to traditional grooming salons. The unfamiliar environment, strange smells, and presence of other anxious animals created unnecessary distress.

The solution seemed obvious. Bring the grooming to the pet, not the pet to the grooming. What started as a single-person operation serving North London has grown into a trusted team covering the entire city.

Today, we serve hundreds of London households, building lasting relationships with both pets and their families. Our groomers become familiar faces that pets learn to welcome, transforming grooming from a stressful chore into a comfortable routine.

Our Approach

We take the time to understand each pet's personality before we begin. Some dogs love water and a good scrub; others need a gentler, slower approach. Cats often require quiet patience and minimal handling. Senior pets may need extra support and shorter sessions.

This individualised attention is only possible because we work one-on-one with each animal in their own space. There are no distractions, no competing sounds, and no unfamiliar animals nearby. The result is a calmer, more effective grooming experience that pets actually come to enjoy.

What Guides Us

Our values shape every interaction, from the first phone call to the final brush stroke.

Animal Welfare First

The comfort and wellbeing of every pet takes absolute priority. We will never rush a session or force an animal into a position that causes distress. If a pet needs a break, we take one.

Honest Communication

We tell you exactly what we observe during each session, including any health concerns. Transparency builds the trust that is essential to caring for your pet properly.

Continuous Improvement

Our groomers regularly attend training courses and workshops to stay current with the latest techniques, products, and understanding of animal behaviour.

Community Connection

We are part of the London pet community. We partner with local rescues, support adoption events, and believe in giving back to the animal welfare organisations that do vital work.

Our Team

Every violet-frost groomer is carefully selected not just for technical skill, but for genuine love of animals. Our hiring process includes supervised sessions where we observe how candidates interact with pets of different temperaments.

All team members hold professional grooming certifications and undergo comprehensive training in pet first aid, animal behaviour, and breed-specific care requirements. We are fully insured, DBS checked, and committed to ongoing professional development.

When you book with us, you will be matched with a groomer who is best suited to your pet's needs and who will, whenever possible, handle all future appointments. This consistency helps build the familiarity that makes pets feel comfortable.
